Script Analysis
THEA 280 SP
Students analyze playscripts from different genres and conduct dramaturgical research. By thinking critically and contextually about these texts, students learn how to integrate intellectual investigation to their
creative
processes as actors, designers, directors, and dramaturgs.
MAJOR READINGS
Reading list of supplements plays.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Submission of fully written analyses and sample production books for play scenes and one full-length play, supplemented by reading and play-viewing assignments.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
The instructor will select a minimum of three performances students should attend for this course. Students are responsible for their tickets; the Theater Department will provide transportation when performances taken
place off campus.
