Guest Artists Workshop Series: Re-inventing Performance
THEA 255 SP

Guest artist is a cross-discipline workshop where students will experiment and learn in a hands-on manner different approaches to theatrical elements from 12 multidisciplinary artists that through their work are re-inventing the meaning of live performance; creating hybrids as their artwork. Students are expected to attend and participate in the workshop, as well as create their own work and engage in constructive peer critiques.

Nichols De Oliveira, Nicola Oxley, Michael Petry, INSTALLATION ART IN THE NEW MILLENIUM
Plus class reader (reader will include articles from PAJ - Performance Art Journal and Performing Arts International HYBRIDITY, editor Michael Bridger)

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Four project assignments and written critiques from peers' work.
