Directed Experiences in Acting
THEA 183 SP

This course may be repeated for credit.

Class members perform in a series of exercises, monologues and scenes or short plays directed by members of the directing class (THEA 281 or THEA 381). Rehearsals take place outside the class. Approximately 60 hours rehearsal and performance time are required.

May be repeated (once) for credit. Admission to studio, performance, project and tutorial courses in theater is at the discretion of individual instructors, who take into account talent, experience and the need to form balanced working ensembles. Projects must be approved by the department.

SECTION 02

Class members will perform in a variety of exercises, written by the members of the playwright's workshop class (THEA299). The class members will need to be available during the times that THEA299 meets to be accessible to the playwrights. The focus of this course is to get actors familiar with the constant transition of working on new scripts.
