Required Sequence: SPAN111 & SPAN112
Intermediate language course. Emphasis on the continuation of development of receptive and productive language skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking), with a strong cultural component. The sequence SPAN111 and SPAN112 focuses on improving active and passive vocabulary and grammar, comprehension of both literary and nonliterary Spanish and a development of writing and speaking. Three classroom periods (MWF) with instructor, one with TA in smaller groups (to be scheduled at the beginning of the semester, usually in the evening.) This is a required course sequence course; although a grade will be assigned at the end of the semester, credit will only be granted upon completion of SPAN112.
