This course reviews and reinforces grammar and develops speaking and writing skills while reading Russian literary texts.
MAJOR READINGS
Frank Miller, RUSSIAN VERBS
Selected readings from Chekhov, Mandelshtam, Aksyonov, Olesha, Tolstoy, and Zoshchenko.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Weekly grammar drills, translations, compositions on the readings, regular laboratory drills, poetry memorization. An additional conversation session to be announced.
