Gender, Identity and Art

This art workshop will bring together history of art, concepts of gender and gender roles, religion and gender, and the practice of arts. Israeli art from the 1970¿s until today will serve as an example of treatment of
these
topics in art. As in an art workshop, students will be expected to explore their own gender identities through everyday objects and then transform these objects into art.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Students are required to attend the conference, "Women, Bodies, and Rituals" on Sunday, January 29. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
