Crosslistings: HIST 246 |
The main focus of critical examination in this seminar is Christianity (black and white) in South Africa, with attention to traditional African religions and perhaps a non-African scene. Topics include the culture of African peoples, motives and responses to missions, and Christianity and apartheid. Current religious and social issues in the new South Africa are emphasized.
