Music, Recording, and Sound Design
MUSC 223 SP
This technical and historical introduction to sound recording is designed for upper-level students in music, film, theatre, dance, and art. The course covers the use of microphones, mixers, equalization, multitrack
recording,
and digital sequencing. Additional readings will examine the impact of recording on musical and filmic practice. Participation in the course provides students with access to the Music Department recording studio.
