Elementary Statistics
MATH 132 SP

Topics included in this course are organizing data, central measures, measures of variation, distributions, sampling, estimation, conditional probability (Bayes' theorem), hypothesis testing, simple regression and correlation, and analysis of variation.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Two or three hour exams; a 3-hour final examination. Frequent homework and laboratory assignments.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Students must have an adequately strong background in high school mathematics. Students who need extra preparation are encouraged to take MATH107 prior to MATH132.
