Elementary Arabic I

This course is a first-year course in modern Arabic, which will introduce students to the basic skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening to the language. The class meets three times a week with a mandatory
additional
fifty minute drill session for all students.

Two quizzes, a mid-term and a final will be given through the semester. In addition, there will be a weekly in-class diagnostic test, listening exercises, and regular homework is also given three times a week.
