Required Sequence: GERM101 & GERM102

Students may expect to acquire: the ability to speak and understand simple German; mastery of the main features of German grammar; the capacity to read non-technical texts; and insight into the culture of the German-speaking countries. The course meets five times a week, with the longer Tuesday-Thursday classes providing extra time for conversation, exploration of cultural topics, and use of video and audio materials.
