Laboratory Study of Igneous and Metamorphic Rocks

This lab course focuses on the recognition and study of volcanic, plutonic and metamorphic rocks in hand specimen and in thin section.

MAJOR READINGS

Four or five detailed petrographic reports, two or three lab quizzes.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

E&ES 214 must be taken concurrently.
