Laboratory Study of Minerals
E&ES 215 FA
This lab course presents practical aspects of the recognition and study of the common minerals in the lab and in the field. It includes morphologic crystallography and hand specimen identification, use of the polarizing
microscope, and X-ray powder diffractometry.
