Building on the beginning course DANC260, advanced dances from West Africa in their social, cultural, and religious contexts will be taught through studio work, lecture, reading and video.

Students will be expected to perform in the West African Drumming and Dance Concert. Students should contact Professor Mensah for permission into this course. Please come to the first class ready to dance.
