Modern Dance II
DANC 215 FA
This course may be repeated for credit.
Intermediate modern dance. This class will focus on moving with technical precision, projection of energy, dynamic variation, and proper alignment. Emphasis will be placed on learning movement quickly and developing
awareness
of space, time, and energy. Friday's class will be taught by different visiting artists.
MAJOR READINGS
Selected articles.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Attendance at assigned dance concerts, participation in group assignments, short papers.

May be repeated for credit. Placement on this level requires the recommendation of dance technique teacher from the previous semester and permission of the instructor, Susan Lourie, Dance Dept.
