Shakespeare and Elizabethan Tragedy
COL 230 FA
This course is a study of Shakespearean tragedy in the context of the work of other major English tragedians of the Elizabethan and early Jacobean eras, such as Kyd, Webster, Marlowe, Tourneur, and so on, and of
contemporary
theories of tragedy. Attention will be given to stagecraft as well as to close textual study.
