Galactic Astronomy
ASTR 221 FA
The fundamentals of astrophysics are applied to the Galaxy. Topics include stellar populations and galactic structure, formation, and evolution.
MAJOR READINGS
Several review papers and portions of textbooks.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Several problem sets will be assigned as well as one research project. There will be one midterm and a final exam.
