Intermediate Spanish II
SPAN 112 FA

Required Sequence: SPAN111 & SPAN112

Second part of intermediate SPAN111 & 112. Emphasis divided among the four basic language skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing with a strong cultural component. This course, as a continuation of SPAN111, provides a complete review of first-year grammar and focuses on improving the command of grammatical structures, active and passive vocabulary, comprehension of both literary and non-literary written Spanish and development of writing and speaking. Three hours a week with Instructor and one hour in smaller groups for conversation.

This course is intended for students who have placed into SPAN112 through the placement test this fall or have an AP score of 4, or have completed SPAN111.
