Advanced Russian: Stylistics
RUSS 302 SP
The course is designed to effect the leap into more natural use of language both by intensive and extensive reading of texts; some literary, some journalistic. We will read a novel, write weekly compositions and record
segments in the language lab. There will be several translation projects: from Russian into English and back again, as well as from English into Russian and back. We will also compare several translations of one text
into
and out of Russian and English.
