Religions of India
RELI 476 SP
This course is a thematic and historical introduction to the religions of South Asia, with a focus on Hinduism, Early Buddhism, Jainism, and Islam. In addition to providing an introductions to the basic deities,
doctrines,
practices, sects, and scriptures of these traditions, the course will focus on the themes of sanctity and `the sacred,¿ pilgrimage, ritual, and festival.
