This course is an introduction to theory and research on human development, covering physical, cognitive, language, and social development from infancy to adolescence. Special emphasis will be placed on biological and environmental (e.g. cultural) influences on development. The focus will be on normally developing children, but some examination of developmental disabilities will be included.
