Seminar in Interdisciplinary Studies

The course, one of the four core Ph.D. seminars in ethnomusicology, examines a number of disciplines as they relate to 1)general current theoretical issues 2)the interests of ethnomusicology. Visitors from other
departments
will present their disciplinary perspectives.
MAJOR READINGS
Will vary according to makeup of students enrolled and interests of the rotating faculty who teach the course.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Seminar format; weekly reading responses, occasional projects; final research paper.
