Korean Drumming Ensemble

The class will meet once a week for two hours. We will learn Korean traditional percussion music. Students will learn how to play Jang Goo, the most essential percussion instrument in Samulnori. The ensemble will present a concert at the end of each semester. Attendance for the class is mandatory.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Weekly exercises, concert presentation at the end of the semester.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Permission of Instructor is needed for the course. Audition at the beginning of the semester with the instructor.

Music majors may repeat this course once for credit.
