Survey of Latin American History
HIST 245 SP
This course presents a survey of Latin American history from the preconquest cultures to contemporary economic and political crises. Topics include colonialism, the conflict between Europeans and Indians, slavery and
abolition,
the wars of independence, neocolonialism, development of social and cultural pluralism, 20th-century political movements.
