Knights, Fools and Lovers: An Introduction to Medieval and Renaissance French Culture
FREN 230 SP
This course will help students acquire a basic awareness of the history of French culture from the 12th through the 16th centuries and develop their ability to imagine other -- past and fictional -- worlds through a
study
of medieval chivalry, the Renaissance carnival, and medieval and Renaissance poetry.
