Creative Nonfiction
ENGL 105 SP
This course offers practice in various forms of nonfiction, including the interview, profiles, memoir, and critical essay.
MAJOR READINGS
Contemporary nonfiction including pieces by George Orwell, Joan Didion, Studs Terkel, Maxine Hong Kingston, William Finnegan, and Annie Dillard.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Weekly writing exercises.

To apply for admission to the course, fill out the information sheet available at Anne Greene's office, 279 Court Street, room 203 during the preregistration period. No writing sample is required. This course is only
open to first year students.
