Volcanology
E&ES 380 FA
This course will study the principal types of volcanoes and their behavior, hazards, benefits and the processes involved in magma generation, rise, eruption and dispersal. Essential background material in mineralogy and
petrology will be presented as needed. Class participation will be important.
