Economics of Negotiation and Organizations
ECON 120 SP
This course will examine topics in labor, organizational, and behavioral economics with particular focus on labor-related business problems using economic theory. Representative topics include: individual
decision-making,
negotiations, unions, incentives, compensation, organizational learning and economic based views in organizational theory. We will use simulations and role-playing to explore some of these topics.
MAJOR READINGS
Articles, excerpts from texts, and class notes will be available electronically via course web page.
EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Grades will be based on class participation, homework assignments, short in-class quizzes and a short term paper.
