Drawing II
ARST 432 FA
This course may be repeated for credit.
This class expands upon the course content covered in Drawing I (ARST131). Problems will initially focus on the anatomical aspect of the human form. Other problems involving expression, content, process, sequence,
two-dimensional
design and management of implied space are to be covered as well. Color is also a topic for discussion in this class. A variety of media and techniques are to be used. Further, the development of personal concepts and
style are an aim in this class. The instructor bases enrollment in this class upon review of a portfolio from Drawing I.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
The class meets once a week for four full hours. A significant number of hours must be dedicated weekly to outside-of-class projects.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
FULL CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE IS EXPECTED. Grades will be based on the assignments, a final portfolio, and work in class. Please bring drawing materials to first class meeting. Admission to the course is by portfolio
review. Lab fee $40.00 to be used in
partial support of model salaries and for drawing paper. Selection by interview with instructor. A portfolio containing no more than ten (10) works on paper should be presented. Interviews will take place during the
Preregistration period. Dates and
times for interviews will be posted outside AWKS 106. A list of students accepted will be posted near the end of Preregistration. Students accepted into the course may pick up Permission of Instructor forms from the
Art Department office (2nd floor,
Zilkha Gallery #203).
