Acting II
THEA 285 FA

This course may be repeated for credit.

Each student will select one role to concentrate on for the entire semester. Through intense work, the student will investigate the three-dimentionality of a fully developed, multifaceted character. Role selection will be made in consultation with the instructor and from a class reading list of plays.

MAJOR READINGS

The plays under study and related research material.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Scenes and exercises will be presented in class. Occasional quizzes on the reading list. ADMISSION BY AUDITION.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Admission to studio, performance, project and tutorial courses in theater is at the discretion of individual instructors, who take into account estimated talent, experience and the need to form balanced and effective working ensembles. Projects must be approved by the department. See theater bulletin board for details.

Please be aware that you will be required to attend an additional lab class on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. in the 92 Theater.
