Constructing the Female Subject: Gender and Culture in Hispanic Literature

We will consider gender as a category of literary analysis, seeing it in terms of difference and power and mapping out how it is inscribed, represented and reproduced in selected poems, novels, essays, and short stories by Hispanic women writers.
