Seminar in Sociology
SOC 324 SP
This seminar offers seniors in the major an occasion to draw together their studies in sociology. After a review of basic ideas, traditions, and problems in the field, attention will be given to the use of the
sociological
imagination in sociological thinking and research. Students will write their senior research essays in this course.
MAJOR READINGS

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Reading, attendance, short papers, group work, a final 20-30 page research paper.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
The course is open only to senior majors in sociology. Preregistered students not at the first class meeting will be dropped.
