In this introduction to basic concepts in immunology, particular emphasis will be given to the genetic basis for specificity and diversity of the antibody and cellular immune responses. Cellular and antibody responses in
health and disease will be addressed.

Two exams (midterm and final), and presentations to class.

Primarily a course for Juniors and Seniors. Students who intend to take this course and the Chemistry 251, 252 sequence concurrently may enroll in this course with a prerequisite override form.
