Sophomore Seminar: Gandhi
HIST 181 SP
Mohandas K. Gandhi's life has been the subject of enormous scholarly, philosophical and artistic reflection. In this sophomore seminar, we will seek to understand the man himself, his transition from Mohandas to
"Mahatma,"
and the history that surrounded him. We will learn in the process about the historian's craft, including how to do archival work, how to best use a library, and, how to find and use evidence.
