Composition and Conversation
FREN 215 FA

This course introduces you to various aspects of modern French life through a wide range of materials and methods: videos and readings on various cultural topics, oral reports, weekly discussions with French teaching assistants, laboratory practice, and compositions. It helps you to continue to develop your language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), preparing you for upper-level French courses or for study abroad.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Weekly composition; discussion meetings with native assistants; two hour-exams; final exam.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Students are required to attend one T.A. session a week (one hour). This course is intended for students who have completed FREN112 with a grade of B or better or have placed into FREN215 through the placement test. Students who have not done so should consult with the professor before preregistering. Students who are not accepted through preregistration are strongly encouraged to register during the Drop/Add period.
