History of World Cinema, World War II to Present
FILM 310 SP
This course surveys the history of international cinema from WWII to the present, and introduces students to the analysis of film form and narrative structure. Major movements and trends in Hollywood, Europe, Asia,
Africa,
and the Middle East will be examined, as well as documentary and avant-garde filmmaking. This course is designed to be a general education class as well as a gateway class for those wishing to declare the film major.
