Asian American Woman and Literature
ENGL 349 SP
This course will explore the intersection of ethnicity, race, class, gender, and sexuality in the lives of literature of Asian American women. We will discuss and analyze the historical and contemporary social,
political,
and economic forces that have shaped women's lives and how they are reflected in literature. Our goal in the course is to explore and discover the diversity of voices in Asian American women's experiences and the
similarities
and commonalities of their social histories.
