Elements of Fiction Writing
ENGL 170 FA

A workshop class for intermediate level students, teaching the shapes of the short story and the novel: classical, modern and experimental. Taught in workshops, readings and occasional exercises.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Submit no more than 20 pages of fiction. No previous classes are required but students should at least have written either stories or long poems to completion. If you are submitting an excerpt to a larger work, please include a synopsis. Send to Sheila Kelleher at the English Department, 285 Court Street, Middletown, CT 06459-0100 by noon on August 28, 2003. NO FAXES OR EMAILS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
