Energy Resources of the Earth
E&ES 150 FA

This course is an introduction to the major types of energy resources in use today. We will look at energy from a science and technical standpoint to understand the origins of energy resources, and we will discuss environmental, political, and economic issues arising from their use and distribution. A significant portion of the course will cover aspects of the oil and gas industry, from its history to its present state. We will also review nuclear, hydroelectric, and renewable forms of energy.
