Race and Ethnicity in the Labor Market
ECON 314 SP
This course introduces several models of the labor market and uses the models to analyze specific issues of race and ethnicity. Special attention is devoted to the labor market experiences of African American, Hispanic
and Asian American women and men. Topics include the economics of discrimination, occupational crowding, internal labor markets, the contingent workforce, and the labor market effects of equal employment law and
affirmative-action
regulation.
