Introduction to Economic Theory

An introduction to the principles of micro- and macroeconomic theory intended for prospective majors and students wishing to prepare themselves for a broad range of upperclass elective courses in economics. Mathematical tools essential for further study in economics are gradually introduced throughout the course.

Two term examinations, weekly homework assignments consisting of problem sets or short essays, and a final examination scheduled by the Registrar.
Additional Requirements and/or Comments
This course can be taken concurrently with MATH 118 or MATH 122 with permission of instructor. A prerequisite override is required during pre-registration for any student who has not completed one of the Wesleyan mathematics courses listed above.
