Spanish American Short Story

The course will begin by studying the development of the short story genre in Latin America from the early 20th century. The greater part of the course will be focused on the achievement in short fiction of the
contemporary masters Borges, Cortazar,
Ferre, Rulfo and Garcia-Marquez.

SPAN254 is intended for students who have completed SPAN226. Students who have not done so should consult with the professor before preregistering.
