Contemporary as distinct from ages of modern and classical Christian thought deals with both in its project. The main part of this discussion course explores and examines select recent 20th century Christian theologies from around the world divided into liberationist, feminist, orthodox, liberal and evangelical currents. A range of beliefs in God, the world and humanity will be pursued on the basis of select theological texts. The second part of the course will focus on a few Christian thinkers in the fields of philosophy and/or history.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
