Seminar in Prevention Science
PSYC 340 SP

This seminar will examine current prevention programs aimed at reducing risk for such emotional and behavioral disorders such as depression, anxiety, conduct disorder, and substance abuse. Special attention will be given to potentially malleable risk and protective factors targeted by these programs, selection and measurement of outcomes, and program efficacy. Students will have the opportunity to run an actual prevention program with children from the community.

This is a specialized course in the study area of Personality/Psychopathology.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
