The Utopian Quest
PSYC 123 FA

The course examines our continued quest for improving human nature and the social order from the period of the scientific revolution to the present. Ideals and projects for perfectibility are explored both in fiction and in psychological, political, and philosophical writings. These models for human perfectibility serve as a framework for critical examination of our contemporary assumptions about self-improvement and progress.
