Foundations of Contemporary Psychology

This is an introduction to contemporary psychology. The course is a survey of major topic areas in psychology.

MAJOR READINGS

Gerrig and Zimbardo, PSYCHOLOGY AND LIFE, 16th edition. Allyn & Bacon Publishers.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Four in-class examinations, optional final exam; four short papers.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Psychology majors must take this course graded A-F.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
