Algebraic Topology
MATH 536 SP

Homotopy, the fundamental group, covering spaces: classification and lifting theorems. Singular and/or simplicial homology theory, verification of the Eilenberg-Steenrod axioms. Some computations. Applications to open maps, fixed points theorems, and the like.
