Elementary Statistics
MATH 132 FA
Topics included in this course are organizing data, central measures, measures of variation, distributions, sampling, estimation, conditional probability (Bayes' theorem), hypothesis testing, simple regression and
correlation, and analysis of variation.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS
Two or three hour exams; a 3-hour final examination. Frequent homework and laboratory assignments.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS
Prerequisites: None except an adequately strong background in high school mathematics. Students who need extra preparation are encouraged to take MATH107 prior to MATH132.
Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed
Drop/Add form to the Registrar's
