This course includes continued practice in reading, writing, speaking and listening to modern Japanese. The class will be conducted entirely in Japanese.

MAJOR READINGS

Selected fiction, essays, articles, and films.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

Oral presentations; written assignments; quizzes, exams.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS and/or COMMENTS

Students should have completed JAPN219 or the equivalent. Regular attendance and participation are required. This course may be repeated by students who have already taken JAPN219 or JAPN220, as readings will be changed.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
