A Century of Italian Fictions

This course will introduce the student to the most significant examples of 20th century Italian narrative fiction. It will try to show the ideological conflicts of modern Italy focusing its attention on the problem of contemporary man estranged from nature, love, life and freedom.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS

There will be four papers.

Unless preregistered students attend the first class meeting or communicate directly with the instructor prior to the first class, they will be dropped from the class list. NOTE: Students must still submit a completed Drop/Add form to the Registrar's Office.
